Thin Mints Rock!

I love Girl Scout Thin Mints cookies!! But there's a caveat here....they have to be frozen in order for their full flavor to be released. Thats right....frozen....which means you can't eat them right away. They have to go in the freezer for a couple of hours. Well, maybe you can sneak 1 or 2 out after half an hour or so just so you can quit salivating at the thought of them sitting in there calling out your name!! I bought only 1 box this year (trying to contain myself) and of course I ate them all. Wishing containment wasn't such an issue now and I had bought 2 so I could eat some more!!

On the subject of Cupcakes

This post is in regards to cupcakes, specifically my favorite cupcakes. I think I would have to say that my favorite cupcakes are the ones I used to make for my grandkids and daycare kids! I made them in flat bottomed ice cream cones instead of paper cups and the kids absolutely loved them!! Just thinking about them makes me want to make some, so maybe I will get the stuff to make some next week and treat the grandkids again....its been awhile!

so lets talk about resolutions. How are you at making and keeping them? I know that I stink at it! First off, in order to keep a resolution that you've made, you have to be resolute, right? And resolute means determined and strong-willed. So.....where does that leave me with my complete lack of will power? Going a different route, that's where!! :) Instead of going with the "strong-willed" part of the definition, I will be using the "determined" part of it. I recently had a major EHD crash....years of photos were lost! I was so heartsick I wanted to cry :*( So here is my 2009 resolution.....backup, backup, backup! I am going to be very "determined" and diligent about backing up my important files to disk and have even considered signing up with mozy. Either that, or start using my fotki site as I should have been using it all along! Well, wish me luck with my resolution and I wish you all the luck in the world with whatever yours may be! Well, its been almost a year since I posted, guess I'm not very good about these things, huh? We spent Thanksgiving in Maine with our family this year and had such a wonderful time! It was our first time in about 4 years that we made it to Maine for the holiday and it was truly a blessing. In memory of my beautiful Mother...

I made this LO in honor and memory of my beautiful Mother who passed away on April 26th, 2007. The page was made using Eva Kipler's Beau Monde available at The Digi Chick and the template she created for her June Double Trouble Sketch Challenge at Digital Freebies.

Well, its June now....

....and winter has gone by. Our winter/spring was full of extreme sorrow and extreme bliss. I lost my Mother on April 26th and our hearts are heavy with missing her, and then on May 18th I was gifted with a new grandson. My daughter Kellie and her boyfriend Jeff brought a beautiful and healthy baby boy into our family. So in the midst of all our sorrow we now have a reason to smile. Nathan was 6 lb. 8 oz. and measured 19" long. He has a head full of dark hair and is just perfect! Here is a a LO I did of the day he was born. I used Eva Kipler's Charmed by a Baby {Boy} A perfect kit for a new baby page.

Well, its Friday.....

....got Joshy off to school although Lil Sean is still sick in bed with some kind of bug. His Dad is going to call the doctor today and see if he can get him in. Maybe he needs an antibiotic since he has been struggling with this all week and missed school for as long. Poor boy...I surely hope he starts feeling better quickly. There isn't a wrestling tournament this weekend, the kids have a break before the championship next weekend so I will more than likely get a lot of scrapping done. Speaking of tournaments, here is a LO I did using photos from one of Joshy's matches last weekend. He had 3, won 2 and lost 1. He did great since the one he lost was the last one and he was absolutely exhausted from the 1st two! I used Jan Hosfords Through the Years and Through the Years Extras available at Digital Freebies for this LO.

Its been awhile...

Well, its been awhile since I posted anything as you can see. The Autumn was very busy and then the holidays came rushing in with a vengeance. I did manage to get quite a few scrapbook pages done during all that time though. And although I made sure to update the slideshow with all the newer pages, I am only going to start posting the most recent and then the new ones starting today.

In December we had only one snowfall which is very unusual so I think I will start with the LO I did of Lil Sean and Tito outside playing in the evening. So here it is...

This is a new LO I did using a photo of my nephew Thomas and his kitty cat, Rocky. I love how Rocky's ears framed Thommy's jawline....lol!

This is my GD having a blast in the autumn leaves 2005!

I used Jan Hosford's Fall Flair Kit available at SBE here. The colors in this kit are so beautiful and the elements are perfect for all those autumn pictures! In fact, I can't wait until the leaves finish turning and falling so I can take a bunch more photos of the kids playing in them and use this kit again! LOL.

Our Wedding Day

This is a photo from our wedding day, February 19th, 1983. Mark died May 21st, 2000 and my children had this same photo engraved on his headstone. It is and will always be my favorite photo of us.

My two GD's (Shalia and Kyryeah) posing for the camera last Christmas 2005. We don't see Kyryeah very often so it was really nice to scrap a page with her in it. Maybe I will get a few more done with her from that day or the day she visited during the summer. It would be a good goal, right? :)

My 3 kiddos!

This photo is of my 3 kiddo's last December on Christmas Day. It is so hard to get all 3 of them to look and smile at the camera at the same time! Even at their "mature" ages, they can be a difficult crew...lol

Hi.... This is all very new to me. I know its old hat to most, but not to me...lol. My name is Sandy, aka. Sanna, aka. sannajeannine .... widowed for 6 and a half years. I have 3 grown children and 5 growing grandchildren. I live with my middle child Sean and his 2 sons. My oldest son Eddie and his family, wife Heidi and 3 children, live 5 minutes from us and my youngest child Kellie lives 5 minutes in the other direction with her boyfriend. We are all very close and and the grandchildren are best friends to each other.

My favorite things to do are Digital Scrapbooking and reading mystery novels :)
